What is your commitment?
Worktraders commit to treating their positions as if it was a “real job”:
being on time (ready to work at the agreed time)
striving for excellence
paying attention to detail
communicating effectively with all involved
adapting to new circumstances
Worktraders commit to completing their hours as if they are a paying CSA member.
Paying members pay for all of their shares even if they miss a share for some reason during the season.
Worktraders are likewise expected to fulfill their full hour commitment despite possible missed shares through the season.
Of course, extenuating circumstances will be honored and pre-arrangements can be made to account for planned “leave of absences.”
Worktraders commit to learning as much as they can
about the farm, the food we grow, and the way we grow it
about the work they’re doing
Worktraders commit to being honest and open about any adverse circumstances that might challenge their quality of work, satisfaction, and ability to continue with the job.
