~ Our Mission ~
We Aim to provide fresh, beyond organic, Asheville grown produce to our community while creating the groundwork for a truly resilient food and farming economy.
~OUR GOALS (5 year plan)
Develop a total of 3 urban acres to have highly productive food systems that provide: more sharing relationships; ecologically rich landscapes; and a backbone of financial sustainability for the farm.
Within 3 years.
CREATE FARM INCUBATORS
Incubate new farmers on already productive sites to give their own multi-plot urban land-based business a kickstart.
Within 5 years
RUN FARM STANDS IN FOOD DESERTS
Create neighborhood run farm stands, farm plots in food deserts, and share skills on cooking fresh food. Integrate communities with their landscapes. And develop sharing networks to help supply low cost food to those in need.
TEACH & SHARE
Hold roundtables, workshops, workdays, and classes on land stewardship, farming, fresh food cookery & preservation, and social change.
Encourage you to contribute your: financial, material, intellectual, and experiential capital to the creation of the biological and social groundwork for a truly abundant Asheville city food-shed. In turn, spread your contributions to farm workers, and other food and land based local businesses.
DEVELOP A MODEL OF URBAN LANDSCAPE EMPOWERMENT
Create and test a model that can empower us as citizens to care for our landscapes in a real way, and take food and farming back into a place of holistic values.
(we have some good ideas, stay tuned!)

SHARE OUR FINDINGS
Keep good records of our progress in creating new models of village scale food production systems so our findings can be shared and replicated.
