What is your commitment?

  • Worktraders commit to treating their positions as if it was a “real job”:

    • being on time (ready to work at the agreed time)

    • striving for excellence

    • following direction

    • paying attention to detail

    • communicating effectively with all involved

    • adapting to new circumstances

  • Worktraders commit to completing their hours as if they are a paying CSA member.

    • Paying members pay for all of their shares even if they miss a share for some reason during the season.

    • Worktraders are likewise expected to fulfill their full hour commitment despite possible missed shares through the season.

    • Of course, extenuating circumstances will be honored and pre-arrangements can be made to account for planned “leave of absences.”

  • Worktraders commit to learning as much as they can

    • about the farm, the food we grow, and the way we grow it

    • about the work they’re doing

  • Worktraders commit to being honest and open about any adverse circumstances that might challenge their quality of work, satisfaction, and ability to continue with the job.
